She gave her presentation, entitled “Cognitive and Emotional Well-being in Aging,” and participated in a panel discussion with other leaders in detecting and managing age-associated cognitive and neuropsychiatric changes.

Nancy J. Donovan, MD gave the Keynote Address at the annual Compassion Amid the Confusion conference, an annual educational event for professional caregivers, people with early stage dementia, and their families. Her presentation was entitled “A Framework for Understanding Social Isolation and Loneliness in Aging and Alzheimer’s Disease.” This was followed by a panel discussion with Mass General Brigham colleagues, Geriatric Psychologist Abby Altman PhD and Speech and Language Therapist R. Richard Sanders MS, CCC-SLP.
